FAQ's

  • Can a security guard enforce parking? ▶

    It really depends on the area. If you are on private property, you are allowed to enforce parking by towing the vehicle. Certain HOAs have their own rules that must be followed and citations may be given, which can be enforced through assessments.

  • Can I get a 1099 Tax Form form from your company? ▶

    Yes. After your initial order is processed, we can supply you with a 1099 Tax Form upon request.

  • Can you provide metal detector screenings? ▶

    We do provide additional services per request for additional fees. If you would like to make special requests, please contact us at (847) 640-2210.

  • Do you do a background check on all of your guards? ▶

    Background checks are conducted through a third-party that does fingerprinting through both the Illinois Department of Justice (DoJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation before a security license is issued by the State of Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. We require all of our security guards to have this valid license. In addition we also perform background checks thru other independent sources at time of hire and random periods after hire. 

  • Do you have bilingual guards available? ▶

    If your order is placed with two weeks' advance notice, we can typically provide a bilingual guard for your event. Please enter your request in the ?details of security service? section of the order form and we will make every effort to accommodate your request.

  • How many security guards should I get? ▶

    A common question that many people ask is how many security guards they should have at their events. It's a legitimate one, as it can often be very challenging to determine just what might be an appropriate number of guards to have in order to keep the event in order and to keep your risk to a minimum.

  • How much experience do your guards have? ▶

    Our guards range in experience from 1 or 2 years to 15+ years of security experience. They come from a variety of backgrounds, including military, law enforcement, and fire department.

    All of our guards undergo rigorous physical and technical training upon hire, so as to meet the Seal-Tight Protective Services standard.

  • Is you company licensed and bonded? ▶

    Yes, our security company is licensed and bonded based on the state requirements.

  • What happens if a guard gets injured or if something happens to my property? ▶

    We understand that accidents can sometimes occur, and we're always prepared for that. We have $1,000,000 of liability insurance to cover all incidentals and to give you the true peace of mind you deserve.

  • What kind of services do you provide? ▶

    We primarily provide security and event management services. We will monitor and report all illegal and unpermitted activity and contact police authorities, if necessary. We can manage the guest list for your party, escort uninvited attendees off of the premises, and help you with seating arrangements for your seminar or conference.

  • What training have the guards undergone? ▶

    All Seal-Tight Protective Services guards are required to undergo security guard training.

    Some covered areas of the the training include:

    • Powers to Arrest (security guard roles and responsibilities) - 4 hours
    • Weapons of Mass Destruction & Terrorism Awareness - 4 hours
    • Public Relations (how to deal with the community and the customer) - 4 hours
    • Observation & Documentation (appropriate techniques in report writing) - 4 hours
    • Communication and Its Significance (who, what, where, when, why) - 4 hours
    • Liability & Legal Aspects (roles of the guard) - 4 hours
  • Why do I need security at my events? ▶

    Many problems can arise during your events, and having a properly-trained security guard will help to avoid these problems from arising. These problems include uninvited attendees, theft / vandalism of your property and the property of your neighbors, traffic jams and accidents on your street, fights / acts of violence, escorting unruly guests off the premises, and more.
